Engaging Interactions is the vision of Megan King to deliver a service that supports young children of all abilities to thrive!

Megan is an early childhood educator and Key Worker who has dedicated her career to supporting children and their families through the Developmental, Individual Differences, Relationship-based approach known as DIRFloortime®.

Megan has held positions in early childhood settings, schools, family day care services, and a non-profit early intervention service, utilising her Bachelor of Education degree and twenty-five years of practical experience across a variety of contexts.

Prior to founding Engaging Interactions, Megan was a member of an early intervention team that assisted children with developmental concerns and disabilities to access the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) while providing family-centred, play-based sessions in the child’s home.

As a Key worker, Megan concentrates her efforts on working with children of diverse abilities between the ages of 0 and 9 to promote their development in a variety of naturalistic settings, honouring their individuality through strength-based, child-led, playful connections.

Megan adapts a gentle, collaborative approach to supporting children, their families, and educators, advocating the importance of play in building healthy foundations for all children, while empowering parents and educators through mentoring and support.

Megan believes that all children have the right to experience and explore their world supported by attuned caregivers, access to environments that create a sense of safety and experiences that fuel development to help them reach their full potential.
